The humble refrigerator does a lot more than just keep your food chilled and fresh – it’s the centre of the household! From holding our shopping lists and notes of affection to displaying the kids’ artworks, our fridge truly is the hub of the home.
We think the fantastic fridge is worth celebrating, and that’s why we’re launching our #RefrigeratorRhymes competition!
We want you to share your best #RefrigeratorRhymes. Poems about family, the home or your favourite foods – we want to hear them all!
Submit your 140-character poetry on the Lec Facebook or Twitter using the #RefrigeratorRhymes hashtag and not only will we reply with a photo or video version of your poem, but you could be in with a chance of winning a Lec refrigerator, freezer or fridge-freezer specially printed with your poem, worth up to £500!
All #RefrigeratorRhymes will be judged by a team from Lec, including British chef Brian Turner, and the top ten poems will also be displayed at the BBC Good Food Show Winter 2014.

T&Cs: The Lec #RefrigeratorRhymes competition will open for entries on 22 August 2014 at 9am and will close on 30 September at 9am.
One entrant will be judged by a panel to win a Lec refrigerator, freezer or fridge-freezer personalised with their poem – up to the value of £500. Lec offers no guarantee that these prizes will immediately be in stock – there may be a wait of up to 10 weeks for the winner to receive prizes.
The winning entrant must like the Lec Facebook page and/or follow Lec on Twitter. To enter, you must submit a 140-character poem about family, food or the home on to Lec on Facebook or Twitter using the #RefrigeratorRhymes hashtag.
Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable comments will not be considered. We retain sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content. Lec’s decision on this is final.
The prize includes delivery to a mainland UK address, but does not include installation or removal of an existing appliance. Lec reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of the same value if the one stated is not available.
By entering the competition, entrants agree to have their submitted name and an image of their prize displayed on our website and used by Lec for any purpose, at any time, without any fee or other form of compensation. Lec reserves the right to disqualify users, without notice, and for any reason.
The competition will close on 30 September at 9am and the winner will be judged by a panel and contacted within 15 working days. The winner will be announced publicly on Lec’s Twitter and Facebook channels within two working days of confirming their acceptance with Lec’s PR agency, Umpf. If the winner does not respond to Lec’s congratulatory email within five working days, Lec reserves the right to award the prize to the second-place entry.
